Yes, the F1 uses a standard 18650 lithium-ion cell and the battery is fully user-replaceable — simply unscrew the tail cap to access the battery compartment. The included cell is a 600mAh protected flat-top 18650. For extended runtime, a higher-capacity 18650 cell (up to 3500mAh) can be used, provided it is a protected flat-top 18650 with a maximum length of 65mm. Do not use unprotected cells, as the F1’s built-in protection circuits are designed to work in conjunction with the cell’s own protection PCB. Button-top 18650 cells may not fit due to length constraints.
How does the zoom mechanism hold up over time — does it become loose?
The push-pull zoom mechanism uses a precision-machined aluminum sleeve with an internal O-ring that provides smooth, damped travel and maintains position through friction.
