Can the HE11 really charge a phone?
Yes, the Type-C port supports bidirectional power delivery. Using a standard USB-C to USB-C or USB-C to Lightning cable, the HE11 can output power from its 18650 or 21700 battery to charge smartphones, Bluetooth earbuds, and other small electronic devices at standard 5V output. This is intended for emergency top-ups rather than full device charging.
What is the difference between using an 18650 and a 21700 battery?
A 21700 battery typically offers higher capacity (up to 5000mAh) compared to the standard 18650 (2000mAh), effectively doubling runtime. The HE11’s battery tube is sized to accommodate both formats without adapters. We recommend 21700 for extended-duration applications and 18650 for lighter weight.
How strong is the tail magnet?
The magnet can securely hold the 183g headlamp on vertical steel surfaces and under horizontal surfaces. It is designed to support the unit’s own weight in static conditions. It is not intended to resist strong vibrations or impacts when magnetically mounted.
Does the sensor work in bright daylight?
The gesture sensor is an infrared-based proximity detector and may have reduced sensitivity in direct, intense sunlight (which contains IR wavelengths). It performs optimally in indoor, shaded, and low-light environments where its infrared signal-to-noise ratio is highest.
Are all six modes accessible with gloves on?
Yes, the three independent buttons — main light control, side light control, and sensor toggle — are large, tactile, and well-spaced on the top panel, making them operable even with thick work gloves. The sensor mode adds an additional touch-free control layer for maximum convenience.
